About SearCalc

SearCalc is a collection of free online tools — calculators, converters, and generators — that each do one job well. It was created in 2026 by a developer who kept running into the same problem: every simple calculator online was either buried in ads, gated behind a signup wall, or quietly shipping numbers to a server. SearCalc is the answer to that. Every tool here runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded, no account is required, and there are no usage limits. Open a tool, use it, close the tab.

Our mission

The goal is to build the most accurate, most private online tools on the web — with real data, not guesses. Anyone who has searched for a calculator knows the pattern: pages that exist to show ads, with formulas no one has verified and numbers pulled from nowhere. We think a tool page should earn your trust before asking for your attention.

How we keep the numbers honest

Every calculator that depends on real-world figures — Etsy's fee schedule, Twitch's Bit pack prices, WHO body-mass categories, IRS self-employment thresholds — uses verified, dated figures from official sources. When Etsy changes a fee, we update the same week and date the change in the text. Where a figure can vary (by country, by year, by plan), the page says so explicitly instead of presenting one number as universal.

Alongside the tools, we publish guides that explain the underlying math and rules: how Etsy fees stack on a real order, what password entropy means, why compound interest rewards starting early, and what BMI can and cannot tell you. The guides cite primary sources — Etsy's published fee schedule, NIST's password guidelines, WHO fact sheets, IRS publications — and link back to the tools so you can run your own numbers.

How the tools work

Each tool is a single page that runs JavaScript locally in your browser. Converters process your input on your own device — text you paste into the case converter or character counter never leaves your machine. The AI-powered tools are the only exception: those requests pass through a server endpoint to reach the AI model, and the text is not stored after the response is returned. This is disclosed in our privacy policy.

Accuracy and corrections

We check figures against primary sources and note the year they apply to. Prices and fees change, so tools are estimates — always confirm important numbers with the official source before acting on them. Spotted something out of date or wrong? Tell us on the contact page. Corrections are applied quickly and dated, and they genuinely improve the site for everyone who comes after you.
