What it checks
This tool reviews your writing for three things: grammar (subject–verb agreement, verb tenses, articles, prepositions, sentence structure), spelling (misspelled words, typos, commonly confused pairs like "their/there" and "its/it's"), and punctuation (missing commas and periods, misplaced apostrophes, quotation marks).
Because it's powered by an AI language model rather than a fixed rule list, it reads your sentences in context. A traditional spellchecker sees "then" and "than" as two correctly spelled words and moves on — this tool notices when the wrong one is used and suggests the right swap based on what the sentence actually means.
How to read the corrections list
Every fix appears twice: once applied inside the corrected text, and once listed below it. Each entry follows the same pattern — the original wording, an arrow, the corrected wording, and a short reason in parentheses. For example: "recieve → recieved (spelling)" or "he don't → he doesn't (subject–verb agreement)". Scan the list to see exactly what changed and why nothing was silently rewritten. If the AI finds nothing to fix, you'll see a "No errors found" message instead.
Tips
- Works best on paragraphs under roughly 500 words. For long documents, check section by section.
- The AI may flag intentional style choices — sentence fragments, starting with "And", casual contractions — as errors. Review each suggestion and keep your voice.
- Use the corrected output as a second draft, not a final authority: accept the fixes that improve clarity and reject any that change your meaning.
